battery going flat in above car. new battery purchased.
if you take out ignition fuse it stops drawing power from the battery.

The whole thing is not a fix that you can guess at--there is too many possibilities--so go to a dealer and let them work on it.

By the sounds of things there is one of three things wrong with your car.

If your battery light is on when the car is running either under the load of all lights or not it is your alternator.

1. your alternator is earthing and draining your battery ( new or reconditioned one needed) or

2. the starter motor is stopping on the negative side instead of the positive side there-for draining battery ( again new or recon needed to sort problem).

3. a bad earth on the negative terminal of the battery

well when you take out the ignition fuse you are separating the parasitic drain from the battery.
