Question:
the 1998 Chrysler Cirrus appears to have a different type of brake system, I cannot find the adjuster?

Assuming you have the correct shoes you should be able to get the drum back on with the adjuster turned all the way in. You might have to take the adjusters out clean them and make sure the threads are clean so you can adjust them all the way in before you can bring the shoes in enough to put the drum back on.

Your brake adjusters are to open screw them in to make the drums in superb condition no matter if or not they in superb condition free it's going to be ok. once you get it at the same time back up the motorized vehicle slowly pumping the brake pedal. this may automaticly adjust your brakes.

you can either buy a chiltons repaire guide for you car or you can have a mechanic do it. if you buy the guide and do it your self, the job will probably require a special tool which you will have to purchase, plus the cost of the shoes. compare the cost of the mechanic, to the cost of doing it yourself go with what is cheaper.
