Typically this is just a sensor problem and either the sensors aren't aligning properly or they are dirty. If it's the hand style, you'll need to take apart the center console to get to the sensors.



If you don't feel any drag on the brakes, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Your emergency brake indicator switch is probably stuck or needs to be replaced.
