Chrysler is making a special edition Route 66 PT Cruiser. There are a limited amount being made. How many are being made?

i couldn't find it online but previously they have only had about 1500 dream cruisers. is would expect about the same maybe fewer

the 06 PT cruiser will be reliable for you provided the previous owner took care of it. Chrysler made a number of changes to the PT Cruiser in 2005. The items to look out for are: timing belt - should be changed at 70-80,000 miles, front ball joints and control arm bushings - check for wear, and brakes. Good luck and enjoy.
